If you are new to the EMR issue, researching the EMR issue, or want a fantastic reference book with practical advice – and a follow-up book with even more references for digging deeper – I recommend these books.
They are easy to read and give great advice, without being scary (the section on fear is very important – it tends to stop many people from acting). A must read for all. Thank you Alison, I’m recommending it to friends, family and contacts!

HOLD THE PHONE - the Definitive guide to How to Protect your Health from Phones and Wireless by Alison Wilson. . . is a well researched how-to book that presents safety tips for cell phone, cordless phone and wireless device usage - including a special chapter for children’s safety - in addition to a plethora of references and resources for more in-depth information.

This book is absolutely fantastic for anyone who is concerned about the effects of mobile phones, but doesn’t have the time to read all the research and piece together what to do.
This book is very quick and easy to read - I love the clear and simple language. ‘Hold the Phone’ allowed me to quickly and easily determine what actions I needed to take to safeguard our family against the potential risks. I loved the practical tips included in the book, even simple things like swapping which ear you use your phone on (if you have to use it!) were helpful as it was realistic recognising that we can’t just turn our backs on technology.
We have implemented many of the changes, which have all been straight forward and easy to maintain. I have revisited the book a couple of times to find a certain issues and managed to find the information so quickly due to the clear and simple layout.

My wife wanted me to read this book and I found it really changed my perception on the risks associated with mobile phones. It took less than 90 minutes to read and was enough for me to realise that we needed to implement many of the suggested changes. For us it was a matter of protecting our family, while we wait for the scientists to figure out exactly what the risks are.
‘Hold the Phone’ clearly spells out the simple steps it takes to do as much as possible to minimise the risks. It is very easy to flick through to get the key points, so it is a great book to lend to people that may need convincing.

I also found the book just flows and is an easy read. Plus it’s one you can just flick through too, and I really like that aspect. I felt like it took a very complex subject and made it accessible…
